John Myers on his blog Capital Notes quotes California Governor Schwarzenegger during a Q&A session following remarks made Feb. 26, 2007 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. as stating: "We should let the private sector build the roads". Elaborating on that, the governor wondered out loud why someone in Orange County, as an example, should have to pay for some of the roads near San Francisco. He also said he supports allowing foreign-based companies to build toll roads.
