Southern California Transit Advocates is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, development and improvement of public transportation in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Transit GuideUsing public transportation helps ease traffic congestion, contribute to the reduction of air pollution, strengthen our public transit system, and -- in an era of ever-increasing gas prices -- save money. But being dependent on public transportation can be frustrating. How do you get to where you need to go? Who do you call for information? How much is the fare? Does the service you need run in the evening or on weekends? This guide is the resource to answer those questions and others.

The So.CA.TA Transit Guide grew out of our mission to provide information about all transit service options in Southern California, from Santa Barbara to San Diego, including the inland counties. We include route-by-route listings for each transit agency with days and hours of operation for each route, commuter services, seasonal and special services, overnight (owl) service, and a list of transit centers and hubs in the region. Each agency's service area, fare structure, transfer requirements and contact information (phone, website, and mail) are included. Click here to see a sample page.

Whether you are a daily commuter, an occasional user, a transit dependent person, or a motorist looking for an alternative to sitting in traffic, you should have a copy of the Transit Guide.

We are sold out of the 2008-09 Transit Guide in printed form (the PDF version is still available). Our 2009-10 edition is now being updated and will be released in June.
